    During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s four-day State visit to the United States, a significant meeting took place where US President Joe Biden gifted a special T-shirt to PM Modi with his quote mentioned on it.

    The T-shirt carried a quote by Modi-Future is AI-America and India, emphasizing the future of the partnership between the United States and India.

    Representation Across Various Sectors:

    Modi acknowledged the diverse representation of the business community, with participants from sectors ranging from agriculture to space. Some attendees represented well-established firms, while others were from start-ups, reflecting the breadth of expertise present at the event

    A high-profile meeting attended by influential American and Indian executives, notable personalities, and esteemed CEOs from renowned companies such as Tim Cook of Apple, Sundar Pichai of Google, and Satya Nadella of Microsoft, a significant event unfolded.

    In this gathering, President Biden took the opportunity to present Prime Minister Modi with a specially designed T-shirt. Adorned with latter’s quote, “The future is AI-America and India,” this gesture symbolized the shared vision of progress and collaboration between the two nations.

    Alongside them were prominent individuals like Sam Altman from OpenAI, astronaut Sunita Williams, and respected Indian tech leaders including Anand Mahindra and Mukesh Ambani, representing a diverse range of expertise and experience.

    PM Modi expressed his appreciation for the event, describing it as “honhaar, shandaar, dhar-daar” (impressive, magnificent, robust) in Hindi. He also thanked President Biden for his presence, underscoring the significance of their collaboration.

    “India-US -Tech Handshake” Key Takeaways

    India and US have decided to collaborate across important sectors including Defence,Space, Semiconductors, Advanced Computing, Advanced Telecom, Education, Administration, health and climate.

    India and United States have agreed upon to make the extensive use of AI to develop digital pathology platform for carrying out cancer diagnosis, prognosis and therapies.

    The gift exchange took place during the “India-US -Tech Handshake” event held at the White House. This event aimed to foster cooperation and synergy between the technological sectors of both countries. It provided a platform for leaders and executives to discuss opportunities and challenges in the tech industry.

    Trade Agreements Announced by PM Modi and President Biden:

    Prime Minister Modi met other premier Business leaders including Micron’s CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, GE Electric CEO H Lawrence Culp Jr( Applied Materials CEO Gary Dickerson.

    The meeting between Prime Minister Modi and the CEOs followed the announcement of significant trade agreements between India and the United States. The agreements focused on areas such as jet engines and predator drones, highlighting the commitment to enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.

    While Micron has committed to invest $800 millilon with further assistance from India for a $2.75 billion assembly and testing plant, Apllied Materials is going to set up a semi conductor center in India.

    As part of the GE Jet engine deal clearance, India will obtain Predators Drone. On space side, India will sign contract with Artemis Accords

    President Biden emphasized the long-lasting impact of the partnership between India and the United States. He stated that this collaboration would play a pivotal role in shaping the 21st century, with technological cooperation serving as a significant component of the partnership.

    Prime Minister Modi also acknowledged the joint efforts of both nations in creating a new world.

    Biden expressed the need for collaboration with tech leaders to establish reliable and secure technologies that uphold shared values, including human rights. He emphasized the importance of creating guardrails around emerging technologies for the benefit of all.
